INDIANAPOLIS – Hendrix College head men's soccer coach Doug Mello received a Letter of Commendation for earning his 700th career win by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America at the annual national convention in Indianapolis on Friday, January 18.

After a scoreless first half, Wheaton scored a pair of second half goals to defeat the Centre College men's soccer team 2-0 in a second round game of the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament Saturday, Nov. 10 in Wheaton, Ill.

SAA Announces 2012 Men’s Soccer All-Conference Award Winners
(ATLANTA, Ga.) –The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced the 2012 Men’s Soccer All-Conference award winners and, after exclusive voting conducted by the league’s head coaches, Ryan Garvey of Centre was named Offensive Player of the Year, Berry’s Leo Gutierrez was named Defensive Player of the Year and Johannes Loeffler of Birmingham-Southern claimed Newcomer of the Year status. Berry head coach Richard Vardy received the Coach of the Year honor from his peers.

Centre Soccer Squads Earn Bids to NCAA Tournament
The Centre men's and women's soccer teams both received at-large bids to their respective NCAA Tournaments upon the release of the tournament brackets on Monday. The men will take on defending national champion Ohio Wesleyan on Friday in Wheaton, Ill. while the women will host Agnes Scott on Saturday.

Berry Wins 2012 Men's Soccer Championship in Penalty Kicks
Berry College claimed the 2012 Men's Soccer title by topping Centre College 5-4 in penalty kicks in Birmingham on Sunday afternoon. The Vikings squandered a 2-goal lead before regrouping and winning the penalty kick session after the overtime periods went scoreless.
