ATLANTA (Sept. 11, 2017) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Jacob Hadden of Oglethorpe has been named the SAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

This is the second straight week Hadden has won the award.

Hadden had another breakout performance this past weekend in the 8,000-meter race at the Furman XC Classic. The first-year student-athlete finished 48th overall (fifth among NCAA Division III runners) in the field of NCAA Division I, II, and III student-athletes. Hadden posted a new personal record time of 26:40.5. This sits him fourth all-time in Oglethorpe history and allowed the men's team to finish 10th overall at the meet.
