McCormack of Sewanee named SAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ATLANTA (Feb. 12, 2018) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Hannah McCormack of Sewanee has been named the SAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

For the week, McCormack averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assist while making 56.3 percent from the field for the Tigers.

On Friday, the Knoxville, Tenn. native became the 15th Sewanee women's basketball player to surpass the 1,000-point mark with a jump shot in the second quarter. She finished the contest with 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting. She also added seven rebounds and three assists against Oglethorpe.

Two days later against Berry, McCormack shot 47 percent from the field en route to a 21-point performance in the Tigers' 83-65 victory over the Vikings. Additionally, McCormack finished with six boards, two assists, and two steals.
