Berry's Bedoian and Billiard sweep the SAA Volleyball Player of the Week awards

ATLANTA (Sept. 11, 2017) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced that Berry's Micayla Bedoian and Hannah Billiard have been named SAA Volleyball Players of the Week.

Offense - Micayla Bedoian - Junior RS - Berry

Bedoian led the Vikings offensively at the net earning three victories against traditionally regionally ranked opponents. That included a sweep of No. 7 Mary Washington. She posted an impressive 0.362 hitting percentage on the weekend, racking a total of 36 kills and 2.78 kills per set. Against Mary Washington, Bedoian finished with 14 kills (4.67 kills/set) and hit an impressive 0.542. In addition to her superb offense, Bedoian totaled 15 blocks and 1.15 blocks/set on the weekend. 

Defense - Hannah Billiard - Junior MB - Berry

Billiard led the Vikings defensively earning three victories against traditionally regionally ranked opponents and a sweep of No. 7 Mary Washington. She posted a impressive 1.69 blocks per set individually and helped the team to a program-high 3.18 blocks per set average. On the weekend, Billiard racked up a total of 22 blocks which ranked her first in block assists, total blocks, and blocks per set in the SAA. In addition to her superb defense, Billiard hit .367 on the weekend, including a .750 against Mary Washington.
