BSC wins its fourth straight SAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championship

Birmingham, Ala. (Feb. 17, 2017) – For the fourth straight season, the Birmingham-Southern Men's Swimming and Diving team won the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championship, Saturday.

BSC again dominated the four-day event with 1070 points. Centre was second with 710 points while Rhodes closed out the top-three with 505.5 points. Berry was fourth at 503 while Sewanee finished fifth with a 484 total. Finally, Hendrix closed out the scoring with a score of 330.5 points.

Individually, Patrick Dunn of BSC was named 2018 SAA Swimmer of the Year while teammate Nico Medina was earned the 2018 SAA Newcomer of the Year honor. Brad Nordin of Centre was named the SAA Diver of the Year while BSC Head Coach Toby Wilcox was again named the league's top coach.
