Six-time defending champion Rhodes garnered six of a possible seven first-place votes to secure the top spot in the inaugural SAA women’s lacrosse preseason poll. The Lynx earned 48 total points to best second-place Centre, who garnered the other first-place vote, by 8 points in the ranking. Sewanee finished third in the poll with 37 points.
The league’s women’s lacrosse coaches voted on the poll, each predicting the eventual SAA order of finish 1-7. A first-place vote garnered a team 7 points, a second-place vote netted them 6 points, a third-place vote 5, etc.
The 2022 SAA women’s lacrosse season will get underway this month.
