LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 28, 2023) – Meghan Owens captured her third-straight Southern Athletic Association women’s cross country title and led the Centre Colonels to a seventh conference championship in a row.
Centre hosted the championship at EP Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville.

SAA Championship Central
Centre took half of the top-10 spots to finish with 25 points. Berry was runner-up with 46 points while Rhodes scored 83 in third.
Owens became the conference’s first three-time winner and led from start to finish. The fifth-year posted the fourth-fastest time in SAA Championship history with a 21:53 and became the SAA’s first three-time runner of the year. Teammate Sophie Bouldin was runner-up for the second-straight season in a time of 22:27. Asena Anderson of Berry was third in 23:17 just in front of teammate Anna Rose in fourth at 23:27. Rhodes Britany Ziemer grabbed the fifth spot in 23:40.
