Atlanta, Ga. – The SAA has named its men’s swimming & diving athletes of the week for the third week of November.

SWIMMING:
Ben Anderson | Millsaps | Sophomore | Estes Park, Colo. - had a strong meet at the Delta State Thanksgiving Invitational. Anderson recorded the fastest time in the 100-yard freestyle prelims, setting a school record of 45.95 seconds. He would finish runner-up in the finals with an impressive mark of 46.12. Anderson also finished first in the 50-yard freestyle prelims (20.91) and second in the finals (21.28). Individually he also competed well in the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.84) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.63).
DIVING:
Garrett George | Birmingham-Southern | Sophomore | Huntsville, Ala. – enjoyed a standout performance at the Wabash Invitational, leading the Panthers to a team victory. The sophomore won the 3 meter with a score of 535.1, and also scored a 464.05 on the 1 meter.
Notable Performances:
- Zane Shaner (Hendrix) - had a great meet at the Delta State Invitational. Lifetime bests in the 100 Fly 50.72, 100 Free 47.77, 50 free 22.12. He was also part of the 400 Free relay (46.69), first time under 47 for him right after just finished the 200 Fly in finals with the time of 1:58.45. In the 200 Medley relay his fly split was 21.94, which was his first time going under 22.
- Kai Oddo (Centre) – put together an impressive meet at the Wabash Invitational. He earned a third place finish in the 50 Free with a time of 20.92, he then went on to win his other two individual events. In the 100 Back he swam 51.16 and in the 100 Free he swam 46.06. In the relays, he split a :20.16 in the 200 Free Relay and anchored the 400 Free relay with :45.33. Both of those relays were wins.
- Graham Simmon (Birmingham-Southern) – led the BSC men to a win the Wabash Invite. Simmon picked up best times in numerous events. He won the 400 IM in a time of 4:06.32, placed 2nd in the 200 IM with a time of 1:54.90. He also placed 3rd in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:07.37. Graham also placed 4th in the 100 IM. He was also strong in helping in numerous relays score high. He had splits of 1:47.8 in the 800 Free R and 58.9 in the breast.
- Naeem Mangum (Sewanee) - placed third in the 100 breast (59.03), and second in the 200 breast (2:13.53) at the Sewanee Invitational. The 200 was a personal best by three seconds, and the 100 was just .1 off his best from last year.
- Rowan Fitzsimmons (Centre) - had a great meet at the Wabash Invitational finishing second in the 1-meter dive event scoring a 476.85. On the 3-meter board, he earned a third place finish with a score of 509.95 which was only 5.7 points away from the school record.
