ATLANTA, Ga. (April 25, 2023) – Southern Athletic Association regular season champion Sewanee earned the top-seed and enters the SAA Men’s Tennis Tournament as a favorite to take the 2023 title.  
 
The conference championship is set for April 28-30 at the Champions Club Tennis Complex in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Sewanee went 7-0 in SAA play for a second-straight season. The Tigers are ranked No. 12 in the latest ITA national poll and No. 2 in the Atlantic South Region. Jordan Theron is the top-ranked singles player in the region and, with Quinn Wicklund, make up the second ranked doubles team in the region.
 
Sewanee will meet eight-seed Hendrix in the first round.
 
Birmingham-Southern moved into the ITA national top-40 rankings and earned the No. 2 seed in the SAA tournament with a 6-1 conference record. Wil Dotson is ranked 25^th in the region and teams with Tanner Derbardeleben as the 15^th ranked doubles tandem. BSC is set to face Millsaps in the opening round.
 
Rhodes is the three-seed and will face six-seed Oglethorpe while No. 4 Centre and No. 5 Berry round out the opening draw.
 
Tournament semifinals are set for Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m. and the championship match on Sunday, April 30 at 11 a.m.
