ATLANTA, Ga. (April 25, 2023) – Southern Athletic Association regular season champion Sewanee earned the top-seed and enters the SAA Men’s Tennis Tournament as a favorite to take the 2023 title.
The conference championship is set for April 28-30 at the Champions Club Tennis Complex in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Sewanee went 7-0 in SAA play for a second-straight season. The Tigers are ranked No. 12 in the latest ITA national poll and No. 2 in the Atlantic South Region. Jordan Theron is the top-ranked singles player in the region and, with Quinn Wicklund, make up the second ranked doubles team in the region.
Sewanee will meet eight-seed Hendrix in the first round.
Birmingham-Southern moved into the ITA national top-40 rankings and earned the No. 2 seed in the SAA tournament with a 6-1 conference record. Wil Dotson is ranked 25
th in the region and teams with Tanner Derbardeleben as the 15
th ranked doubles tandem. BSC is set to face Millsaps in the opening round.
Rhodes is the three-seed and will face six-seed Oglethorpe while No. 4 Centre and No. 5 Berry round out the opening draw.
Tournament semifinals are set for Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m. and the championship match on Sunday, April 30 at 11 a.m.
