SAA Women’s Golf Report – March 11

Atlanta, Ga. – The SAA has named its women’s golf athletes of the week for the first events of the 2024 spring season.

Division III Women’s Golf Rankings
 
Athlete of the Week:
Annie Piggott | Millsaps | Junior | Lindsay, Ontario – placed third at the Space City Classic in Houston. She opened with a one-under 70 and closed with an 82 to finish third among the 56 competitors. The Lindsay, Ontario, native had the fourth most pars (20) and fifth most birdies (four). The third-place showing is the best of her career and earned her a spot on the 2024 Space City Classic All-Tournament Team. 
 
Notable Performances:
  • Sabrina Nesbitt (Sewanee) – tied for first at the Music City Shootout, shooting scores of 79-75. Her final round jumped her five stops on the leaderboard and led the Tigers to a team win.
  • Merrick Semans (Sewanee) – tied for medalist honors at the Music City shootout with rounds of 76-78. Her 10-over score led Sewanee to the individual title.
