ATLANTA, Ga. – The SAA has announced its men’s outdoor track & field athletes of the week for the third week in March.

TRACK:
Jahari Jones | Berry | Junior | Columbus, Ga. – won the 400m dash at the Lee Invitational, battling the wind with a time of 49.05. The junior also posted a season best 21.54 in the 200m dash, finishing fourth. The two marks lead the SAA and rank fifth and fourth in the region.
FIELD:
Jeremiah Hall | Millsaps | First Year | New Orleans, La. – shattered the Millsaps school record in the triple jump at the Belhaven Invitational. The newcomer won the event with a leap of 13.72 meters, beating the nine-year school record by half a meter. The mark ranks ninth in the nation heading into the weekend. Hall also placed sixth in the long jump (6.27m), 23
rd in the 100m (11.38) and 29
th in the 200m (23.83).
Notable Performances:
- Dez’Tavien Frank (Millsaps) – bettered his program record in the 200m dash at the Belhaven Invitational on Saturday. The junior was 12th out of 33 sprinters with a time of 22.27. Frank was also eighth in the 400m dash in 50.11 seconds.
- George Ketch (Berry) – threw a lifetime best in the hammer throw at the Lee Invitational to finish sixth. The sophomore threw 44.11 meters, 12 feet better than is previous best and the fourth best toss in the SAA this season.
- Drew Noblet (Sewanee) – finished sixth in the javelin at the Lee Invitational, the first time competing in the event. His throw of 45.93 meters is sixth-best in the SAA.
