SAA Champion Sewanee Takes No. 1 Seed in Women’s Tennis Tournament

ATLANTA, Ga. (April 21, 2024) – After running the table in the SAA women’s tennis regular season for the 10th time, Sewanee has earned the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.
 
The 12th-ranked Tigers went 7-0 in the conference and have won all 66 SAA matches in its history. They earned a bye and will meet the winner of No. 4 seed Centre and No. 5 seed Millsaps in the semifinals.
 
SAA runner-up Berry posted a 6-1 mark in league play and grabbed the other by in to the second round of the tournament. The Vikings will face the winner of three-seed Rhodes and sixth-seed Birmingham-Southern.
 
Sewanee won the 2023 championship, winning each of this matches 5-0 and earnd the SAA’s automatic qualifier into the NCAA Tournament.
 
Old Fort Park in Murfreesboro, Tennessee will serve as the host the 2024 SAA men’s and women’s tennis championship.
