CANTON, Ga. (May 30, 2024) – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) selects Mark Tullis to serve as the Coordinator of Volleyball Officials.
The newly created position will lead all aspects of the conference’s volleyball officiating program with an emphasis on recruiting, training, and assigning officials.
“I am pleased to bring this coordinator position to the SAA Volleyball sport offering, and am happy to welcome Mark into the role,” shared Stacey LaDew, SAA Commissioner. “Mark has a track record of being a successful coordinator in our region, and his work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for the game of volleyball and officiating will serve the league well under his tenure as the coordinator.”
Tullis currently serves as the Coordinator of Volleyball officials for the Division II Gulf South Conference, and Division III leagues, the Collegiate Conference of the South, and the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. He has over three decades of on-court experience as an official and has served in board positions for the Northern Kentucky Volleyball Officials Association and the Ohio Valley Volleyball Officials Association.
“I will strive to provide the best service to the Southern Athletic Association, and the volleyball industry within all levels, Officials, Coaches, Volleyball programs, and Institutional Administration,” noted Tullis. “I look forward to the upcoming season with the SAA.”
