CANTON, Ga.  – With the bulk of the nonconference season in the rearview mirror, Centre remains the class of the SAA with a 7-1-1 record. The Colonels will host preseason favorite Oglethorpe (2-1-4) in the conference opener for both schools on Saturday. Rhodes has a 2-0 mark and is set to face Millsaps (2-3-2) to start their SAA slate while Berry (4-3-2) travels to Sewanee (1-4-3).

Around the SAA:
Athletes of the Week:
OFFENSIVE: Adrian Levy | Oglethorpe | Senior | Weston, Fla. - added to his scoring tally twice this week in helping the Stormy Petrels to a perfect week with two 3-0 wins. He started the week with the game-winning goal at home against Covenant before scoring one and assisting another on the road at Maryville. Levy's season count is five goals in seven games so far.

DEFENSIVE: Daniel Amah | Oglethorpe | Senior | Kennesaw, Ga. – helped the Stormy Petrels post two clean sheets in a perfect 2-0 week this week. He played 80 minutes in both games, both 3-0 wins, and helped limit the opposing offenses to a combined eight shots, only two of which were on goal.

Notable Performances:
  • Drew Davidson (Centre) - scored an impressive game-winner versus Maryville with less than 10 minutes left in the contest. That game-winner tied him for first in the SAA in game-winning goals. His four goals this season are the second-most in the SAA and lead the Colonels team. He also leads both of those groups in shots on goal with 13.
  • Dawson Alexandre (Millsaps) - helped power the Majors to a 2-0 win over Tougaloo College at Harper Davis Field on Thursday night. He scored the go-ahead goal in the 31st minute and tallied two total shot attempts.
  • Mitch Register (Berry) - appeared in two games this past week, playing all 90-minutes in each one. In game one against Covenant, even though the team fell 0-1 he was instrumental on the back line to aide his goalie and prevent more goals. In both games, included a 2-1 win over LaGrange, Register ensured no more than 8 shots on goal for each team.
  • Finnegan Deem-Ranzetta (Centre) - led a defense that shut out Maryville in a 1-0 win on Sunday. The Colonels allowed only five shots on goal in Tennessee. That defense has held all but one opponent to one goal or less. The GAA mark for Centre is 1.11, which is the second best in the SAA.
  • Michael Hamauei (Millsaps) – gathered five saves and posted a shutout, helping the Majors best Tougaloo, 2-0 at Harper Davis Field on Thursday.
