CANTON, Ga. – The University of Mary Washington has secured the 2025 Collegiate Field Hockey Conference (CFHC) Regular Season Title.
With last weekend’s win over Centre College, the Eagles officially clinched the regular season championship and remain unbeaten in conference play with a 4-0 CFHC record heading into the final week of competition.
Mary Washington will close out the regular season on Sunday, November 2, against Sewanee, already locked in as the No. 1 seed for the upcoming CFHC Tournament. Last season, the Eagles captured the tournament crown in a hard-fought victory over Rhodes and now look to defend their title in pursuit of a repeat.
The preseason favorites have showcased their dominance all year, earning four Offensive Athlete of the Week honorsand two Defensive Athlete of the Week awards through nine weeks of play. The Eagles also lead the CFHC in several statistical categories, including goals scored (54).
Individually, Grayson Scott and Mackenzie Proffitt have been standouts, with Scott leading the conference in shots and Proffitt ranking second in goals and first in assists this season. Both were members of the inaugural CFHC All-Tournament Team, with Scott earning 2024 Tournament MVP honors.
The 2025 CFHC Tournament is set for November 6–9, hosted by Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
