2025 SAA Volleyball All-Conference Awards Announced

Regular season champion Trinity landed the Offensive Athlete of the Year with Reagan Whatley and Coaching Staff of the Year. Sewanee's Sophia Caruso was tagged as the Defensive Athlete of the Year and from Berry, Ava Brovet is the 2025 Rookie of the Year.

All-SAA voting and selection of the All-Sportsmanship team was conducted among the conference's eight head coaches.

Offensive Athlete of the Year – Reagan Whatley | Trinity | SR | The Woodlands, TX

Whatley made a significant impact in helping Trinity secure its first regular season title. Playing in 83 sets and accumulating almost 300 kills she has proven to be an offensive threat in the league. This season she has earned two SAA Athlete of the Week honors and leads the Tigers in kills, kills per set, and service aces.

Defensive Athlete of the Year – Sophia Caruso | Sewanee | JR | Naples, FL

A second team all-conference selection last season, Caruso moves her way up in the rankings and has been beneficial in Sewanee's 17-10 run so far this season. The two time athlete of the week has 470 digs this season in efforts to keep opponents off the board.

Rookie of the Year – Ava Brovet | Berry | FR | Raleigh, NC

The first year out numbers her team greatly and leads the SAA with almost 1,000 assists on the season in her 99 sets played. The setter has been a key to helping Berry beat ranked teams and securing the third seed in the SAA tournament.

Coaching Staff of the Year – Trinity University

Led by head coach Julie Jenkins, the Tigers have been ranked in the top 25 all season long and shown to be a tough opponent. Trinity secured their first SAA regular season title on their way to an almost perfect conference record at 13-1.
