Trinity and Rhodes Matched for 2025 Women's Soccer Championship

MEMPHIS —  The top two seeds are set to clash for the 2025 Southern Athletic Association Championship on Sunday.

No. 1 Trinity punched its ticket to the title match with a dominant semifinal win over Centre, powered by two goals from Hanna Khan.

No. 2 Rhodes secured its place in the final with a resilient victory over Sewanee. Guided by the league’s Coaching Staff of the Year, the Lynx overcame a slow start before closing strong to earn the win.

Both teams have spent time in the national top 25 this season, though Trinity claimed a convincing victory over Rhodes in their regular-season meeting. The Tigers enter the championship boasting three Athletes of the Year in their starting lineup, further cementing their status as a formidable opponent.

Rhodes will look to capitalize on home-field advantage as the Lynx host this year’s tournament.

The championship matchup is set for noon CT on Sunday.
