CANTON, Ga. – The SAA men’s tennis season got underway with two teams in action during the second weekend in February. Centre welcomed Georgetown (Ky.) and came up short 5-2 while Sewanee beat Cumberland 4-3 at home.

SINGLES
Ben Lammert | Sewanee | First Year | Borden, Ind. – played the No. 2 seed singles position and beat Dan Wessels from NAIA No. 19 Cumberland by scores of 6-3, 6-2. His point was crucial to the Tigers as they posted a slim 4-3 team victory.
DOUBLES:
Ben Rueff | Centre | Junior | Louisville, Ky.
Ty Bush | Centre | Junior | Louisville, Ky.
Combined to play No. 1 doubles for the Colonels against Georgetown College to get the season started. They earned the only Centre victory in doubles with a 6-2 decision over Will Barnes and Alex Stragier.
