CANTON, Ga. (April 24, 2025) – On the eve of the postseason tournament, the Southern Athletic Association has announced its 2025 women’s lacrosse All-Conference teams and major award winners.

SAA regular season champion Sewanee boasted the Offensive Athlete of the Year in Marlin Price and the Coaching Staff of the Year, led by head coach Michele Dombrowski. Rhodes Bari Pinkett was voted the Defensive Athlete of the Year for the second-straight season and Berry’s Maddie Dahl is the Newcomer of the Year.

The SAA All-Conference teams were selected by the league’s six head coaches.

Marlin Price (Junior/Carrollton, Va.) led the conference with 35 points in league play, ranking second in both goals (25) and assists (10). Overall, the junior tallied 77 points on the season with 55 goals and 22 assists. Price twice scored seven goals in a game, including a seven-goals, two-assists night against Rhodes. She had five goals each against Oglethorpe, Berry, and Hendrix while handing out a season-best five assists in the season finale against Centre. Price is the third Sewanee Tiger to be named Offensive Athlete of the Year, joining Sally Anne Greenwood in 2014 and Ellie Murphy in 2015.

Bari Pinkett (Senior/Baltimore, Md.) is the first back-to-back SAA Defensive Athlete of the Year and the second two-time winner (Natalie Marek of Centre in 2016 and 2018). The senior piloted the Lynx defense that was second in goals allowed. Pinkett was second in the SAA with 4.8 ground balls per conference game and fourth with three caused turnovers an outing. She had a huge game against Berry in the regular season finale with 11 ground balls, six caused turnovers, and two draw controls.

Maddie Dahl (First Year/Lexington, Va.) made an immediate impact for the Vikings with 11 goals and four assist on the season. She tallied four goals in conference play. The first year totaled three ground balls in conference and racked up six caused turnovers, including three against Centre. She also came up big in draw controls, ranking second in the conference with six per game. Dahl is the third Viking to be voted Newcomer of the Year, joining Dani Taraska in 2023 and Claire Voltarel in 2017.

Led by Michele Dombrowski in her 18th-season, Sewanee was named the SAA Coaching Staff of the Year. The Tigers are a perfect 15-0 on the year, the No. 1 ranked team in the region and currently 13th nationally in NPI. Dombrowski mentored nine All-Conference selections this season, including five on the First Team. She has won the SAA Coach of the Year honor three other times (2013, 2015, 2019) and has the 2025 squad seeded No. 1in the upcoming SAA Tournament.
