SAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Report - March 10, 2026

CANTON, Ga.  – In the first week of Outdoor competition, Zeno Goss earns Men's Outdoor Track athlete of the week honor and Andrew Popp earns Men's Outdoor Field athlete of the week honor.

Athletes of the Week:
Track:
Zeno Goss | Oglethorpe | FR - Oglethorpe freshman Zeno Goss ran the top mark in the SAA in the 800 meters at the Tufts Final Qualifier this weekend. His time of 1:53.78 converts to 1:52.18 and represents the 40th best mark in the NCAA through the near completion of indoor season. 

Field:
Andrew Popp | Berry | FR | Buford, GA - A freshman from Buford, GA Popp took 2nd in the Pole Vault with an outdoor PR of 4.52m which was the 4th highest jump in the nation on the opening weekend in D3.
 
Track:
  • Quincy Anderson | Berry | FR | Alpharetta, GA - A freshman from Alpharetta, GA Quincy won the 3000m steeplechase in his first attempt at the race with a 10:13.63
  • Dallas Stricker | Millsaps | FR | Picayune, MS - Millsaps men's track and field freshman distance runner Dallas Stricker secured fifth place in the 1500 meters at the Mississippi College Spring Classic on Saturday. Stricker finished his event with a time of 4:13.67, competing in a field of 35 competitors.
Field:
  • Sean Wyers | Millsaps | FR | Eldridge, AL - Millsaps men’s track and field freshman throws specialist Sean Wyers had a stellar meet for the Majors at the Mississippi College Spring Classic on Saturday. He won the hammer throw with a toss of 33.64 meters. Wyers was also eighth in the discus (40.64 meters) and ninth in the shot put (12.70 meters). He now is now ranked as the second-best Major in program history in the discus, and third in the shot put.
