Game Recap: Rhodes vs. Belhaven University
The Rhodes College baseball team opened NCAA Regional play in dominant fashion, defeating Belhaven 14–6 on May 15, 2026, in Marshall, Texas. The Lynx exploded for 14 runs on 13 hits, launching five home runs and using a balanced offensive attack to secure an impressive first-round victory.
Rhodes struck early and never relinquished control, building multiple leads throughout the afternoon. After Belhaven briefly cut the deficit to four in the sixth inning, the Lynx responded immediately with additional insurance runs to put the game away.
Key Performances
Brad Larson led the offensive charge with a standout performance, finishing 3-for-4 with four RBIs, four runs scored, and a solo home run. Larson delivered multiple clutch hits, including a two-run single during Rhodes' five-run fourth inning.
Corbin Martens powered the Lynx early with a two-run home run in the first inning and later added a two-run single in the seventh, finishing with four RBIs.

Rhodes wasted no time getting on the board as Martens launched a two-run homer in the top of the first inning to give the Lynx an early lead.
After Belhaven answered to tie the game, Larson responded with a solo home run in the second inning to put Rhodes back in front. The Lynx then broke the game open in the fourth inning, scoring five runs behind an RBI double from Trozzo, a two-run single from Larson, and a two-run homer from Daniel.
Trichell added another solo homer in the fifth before Larson drove in another run to push the lead to 10–2.
Belhaven mounted a four-run rally in the sixth inning to trim the deficit to 10–6, but Rhodes answered immediately in the seventh as Martens delivered a two-run single and another run scored on a wild pitch. Angilly capped the scoring with a solo homer in the eighth.
