Hein National Champion as SAA Concludes Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship

LA CROSSE, Wis. - Chloe Hein of Centre was the lone SAA Athlete to claim a National title in the 2026 Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship as Centre placed 8th overall and many other conference athletes garnered All-American honors.

Hein finished the year with a sweep in the long jump as she captured the Outdoor Title just months after taking the indoor tittle. The national champion posted a mark of 21-1.25 (6.43m) on her second jump of the evening to break the NCAA Outdoor Championship record ecord in the event and get the win by nearly nine inches and claiming First Team All-American honors.

Teammate Serena McNeilly took Second Team All-American honors in the same events with a mark of 18-9.75 (5.73m) for 10th place.

Zoey Shahid-Scott made the most of her NCAA debut in the shot put, outperforming her seed to take 16th place overall with a throw of 42.7 (12.98m) to earn All-America Second Team honors.

In the high jump, McNeilly took national runner-up (First Team All-American) after posting a clear of 1.76m.

The Colonels wrapped up their NCAA performances with McNeilly once again taking national runner-up title, this time in the triple jump (12.79m) for another First Team All-American honor. Hein took fifth in the event with First Team All-American honors with a mark of 12.26m. Hein concluded the national championship with another fifth place and First Team All-American honor in the 100m (11.74). 

For Berry, Macy Murdock claimed Second Team All-American honors in the 400M Hurdles with a time of 1:01:97 (12th place) to record her best career finish in NCAA competition.

Onoyeme Egure also took Second Team All-American honors with a 13th place finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.07 meters.

The Trinity Tigers were headlined by Annabelle Lanik who claimed First Team All-American honors with her third place finish in the long jump (5.93m). 

The Tiger team of Nia Scott, Brightly Thoning, Shifa Darieda, and Annabelle Lanik posted a time of 47.58, which was just 0.67 from qualifying for the finals but earned them second team All-American honors in the 4x100m Relay.

This marked Trinity's first women's track & field relay team to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
