Athlete of the Week
Athlete: George Mikhael | Trinity | SO |  Livermore, CA – Mikhael led Trinity's team to a fourth-place finish at UIW Twilight. He finished with the team-best time of 18:47 in the 6k race, which put him seventh individually. Mikhael's finish is one of the best in school history at this event, despite running in 90-degree conditions. 

Notable Performances

  • Brooks Johnson | Berry | SR |  Augusta, GA – Johnson finished first in the men's 6k race at Covenant Mountainside Stride with a time of 19:47.4. His first-place finish helped Berry start the season on a strong note and showed Johnson's ability to complete at a high level early in the season. 
  • Houston Brooks | Centre | SO |  Leitchfield, KY – Brooks got his sophomore season off to a strong start at the Franklin Grizzly Invitational. Brooks finished four seconds shy of his personal best 5k time as he crossed the finish line in 15:54.3. Brooks finished fourth overall in a race of over 200 runners and helped the Colonels pick up a fourth-place finish. 
  • Greer Hernandez | Millsaps | JR |  Broussard, LA – Hernandez ran a solid race to open the 2026 season at the Mississippi Christian University 5k Opener. Hernandez set a personal best in his second-ever collegiate race at this distance. He set a time of 16:22.3, placing 31st out of 107 finishers. 
  • Diego Donald | Rhodes | SR |  Prosper, TX – The Rhodes Senior, Diego Donald, finished 6th out of 204 runners at the Franklin Grizzly Invitational. Donald ran 16:05 in the 5k.
