Athlete of the Week
Athlete: Gianna Keena | Trinity | SR | Lakeway, TX – Keena started her senior season off strong at the UIW Twilight Invitational to open the Tiger women's cross country season. The Tigers finished third as a team among Division I competition, and Keena placed fifth in the 4k with a time of 14:29. This finish is one of the best in school history at this event.

Notable Performances

• Elena Gentry | Rhodes | JR | Des Moines, IA – Gentry finished in 2nd place out of 111 finishers at the Franklin Grizzly Invitational. She put up an impressive performance for the Lynx with a time of 18:58 in the 5k. 

• Addison Jackson | Southwestern | SO | San Antonio, TX – Jackson defended home turf with a wire-to-wire win in the Stormy Seas Opener, helping to lead the Pirates to a team win. She covered the 5k course in 19:25, finishing 22 seconds ahead of the 2nd-place runner. She was just one of two runners to finish the event under 20 minutes.
