CANTON, Ga. - The Trinity Tigers were selected as the 2026-27 preseason favorite for 2026-27 Women’s Swimming and Diving Title.
Trinity captured five first-place votes to lead in the preseason poll while Centre captured one top vote for 38 points to tie for second with Rhodes. Sewanee and Southwestern complete the top five with 34 and 30 points, respectively.
Voting was conducted among the SAA’s seven head coaches.

The Tigers of Trinity stood out in their first Southern Athletic Association championship last season, tallying 995.5 points to secure the title by a 200-point margin. The Tigers captured numerous first-place finishes and earned four major awards: Women’s Swimmer of the Meet, Women’s Diver of the Meet, Women’s Swimming Coaching Staff of the Year, and Women’s Diving Coaching Staff of the Year.
Centre finished as the 2026 runner-up after capturing the 2025 title. The Colonels graduated many seniors from last year’s roster but will look to continue competing at a high level in their home facility.
Rhodes returns last season’s Rookie of the Meet, Charlotte Hill, who won the 200 fly and earned top-three finishes in three other events. The Lynx will look to capture their fifth overall title after winning back-to-back championships in 2023 and 2024.
The 2027 SAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship is slated for February 10-13 in Danville, Kentucky, hosted by Centre College.
