Centre, Berry, and Trinity all ranked in the College Football America Yearbook preseason top-30

ATLANTA (July 17, 2019) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) members Centre, Berry, and Trinity are ranked in the 2019 College Football America Yearbook Division III preseason Top 30.

The Colonels are ranked No. 21 while the Vikings came in at No. 22. The Tigers closed out three ranked teams for the SAA at No. 29.
 
Centre is coming off a 10-2 season in which they claimed a share of the Southern Athletic Association championship and secured the program's third NCAA Division III Playoffs berth.
 
Centre demolished nationally-ranked Washington & Jefferson, 54-13, in the opening round of the national tournament to land in the "Sweet 16."

Berry enters 2019 after winning three straight league titles. Last fall, the Vikings won their opening NCAA Division III Playoff game for the second straight season before falling to No. 2 Mary-Hardin Baylor.

  • Trinity finished 2018 with a 7-3 record. The Tigers' losses in SAA action came against Millsaps and Centre.
