- Seeding for the CFHC Tournament will be based on each team’s overall regular-season conference finish. The regular season champion will earn the top seed, with the remaining seeds determined by conference winning percentage.
- In the event of a tie for a particular seed, the seed will be determined as follows:
-
Two Teams – The winner of the regular season in-conference head-to-head matchup will receive the higher seed. If that game was not played or ended in a tie, the criteria listed below will be applied.
-
Three or more teams – The highest head-to-head win-loss percentage among the tied teams is considered first. The team with the best win-loss percentage is ranked highest, followed by the next best, and so on, unless there is a tie within the group. If two teams remain tied, the 'two-team' tie-breaking procedure is applied. If three or more teams are still tied, the following criteria will be applied in order until the tie is broken:
-
Once a seed is determined after applying a criterion, the process restarts with the remaining teams until all seeds are determined.
-
The team with the highest in-conference head-to-head goal differential will earn the higher seed.
-
The team with the fewest in-conference goals allowed will earn the higher seed.
-
The team with the highest winning percentage against in-division, common opponents will earn the higher seed.
-
The team with the highest goal differential against in-division common opponents will earn the higher seed.
-
A coin flip conducted by the CFHC commissioner will determine the higher seed.
