2026 Men's Lacrosse Standings

Tournament Seeding: The seeds for the SAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament shall be determined based on each team’s finish in the final regular season standings. Standings are determined based on teams’ conference winning percentage. The regular season champion shall earn the top seed in the tournament. If two or more teams are tied on top of the standings, co-regular season champions will be named and the below tie-breaking procedure will determine seeds.  

Tie-breaking procedure: 

  1. Head-to-head play 

  2. Goals surrendered vs. League opponents (if more than two teams are involved in the tie, the teams identified in the current tie will be used to determine goals surrendered). 

  3. Record against conference teams, in descending standings order (No. 1, followed by No. 2, etc.) against common conference opponents.  

  4. Coin flip. The NCAA Division III NPI rankings will be used to break all ties previously unbroken by tie-breaking procedures 1-3.  

[note: if more than two teams are tied once the above tie-breaker protocol is used and only two teams remain, we will revert back to head-to-head to resolve the final tie]
