ATLANTA, Ga. (March 10, 2023) – Avery Stansell of Rhodes and Sarah Hsu of Oglethorpe were voted as Southern Athletic Association Golfers of the Week.
 
Men’s Golfer of the Week: Avery Stansell / Rhodes / Junior / Homewood, Ala.
Stansell opened the spring championship season in a big way, finishing tied for 13^th among 90 players at the Savannah Invitational. The junior posted a six-over score of 222, turning in rounds of 71-74-77. He tallied eight birdies over the course of the three rounds, including two-straight to close the opening 18 and get into red numbers.
 
Women’s Golfer of the Week: Sarah Hsu / Oglethorpe / Senior / Buford, Ga.
The fourth-ranked golfer in the nation, Hsu posted a three-shot win at the Savannah Invitational. The senior was one-over for the tournament, hanging rounds of 74-71. She was the only player under par on the final day and climbed three spots on the leaderboard to earn medalist honors. Hsu was bogey free over the final 12 holes and totaled four birdies over the course of the two rounds.
