ATLANTA, Ga. (April 19, 2023) – Southern Athletic Association regular season champion Berry and runner-up Birmingham-Southern drew the top-two seeds and hosting duties for the 2023 SAA Softball Championship opening rounds.
 
Ranked fourth in the latest NFCA Division III national poll, the Vikings wrapped up an undefeated SAA season, running through the conference slate 17-0 to win its eighth regular season championship. Berry is riding a 17-game winning streak into the postseason. Four-seed Millsaps and five-seed Sewanee are the other two teams in the Berry pod.
 
Birmingham-Southern went 15-2 in the conference season and earned the No. 2 seed for the SAA Tournament. The Panthers will host No. 3 Centre, No. 6 Rhodes, and No. 7 Hendrix in its pod.
