SAA Lands Six on NFCA Softball All-Region Team

CANTON, Ga. - The NFCA released the 2026 All-Region teams Friday afternoon, Region VI holds six Southern Athletic Association Athletes.

Featured on the second team is Hannah Boudreaux, the catcher from Trinity University along with Elly Bennett who plays centerfield for the Vikings of Berry College.

On Third Team All-Region the conference holds pitcher - Megan Kriechbaum (Trinity), firstbase - Lauren Cothern (Berry) and Isabela Barber (Rhodes), Utility/Pitcher - Ava Fouts (Berry).

The awards honor student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with selection to one of three teams. NFCA member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region. Coaches may nominate a maximum of eight players from their squad.

If they were not already voted to an All-Region squad, conference Players and Pitchers of the Year from member institutions are added to the third team in their region, so long as they are nominated by their member head coach and receive votes.

All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the three NFCA Division III All-America squads, which will be announced May 27 on NFCA.org and the Association’s social media accounts.

The NFCA is the professional organization for fastpitch softball coaches. Known for its highly-regarded coaches polls and All-America awards, the NFCA also educates and supports softball coaches on a variety of different levels: from podcasts to awards, to in-person events and National Convention
