JACKSON, Miss. - The Berry College softball team's season came to an end as they fell 14-1 to the Westminster College Titans at the Belhaven Regional on Friday afternoon.

Ava Fouts (16-7) took the loss pitching 2 1/3 innings allowing nine runs on ten hits while walking two and striking out three. Latifa Madesko led the offense going 1-for-2 with an RBI.

Fouts ran into trouble in the top of the second as the Titans loaded the bases with one out. The Titans would take a 1-0 lead but it could have been worse as for the second game in a row Elly Bennett gunned down a runner at the plate to get an important second out. Unfortunately the Titans were still able to tack on three more runs as the Vikings trailed 4-0.

The Vikings tried to answer but it was the Titans who added their lead with five more runs in the top of the third as the Vikings trailed 9-0. The Titans would add two more runs in the top of the fourth to extend their lead to 11-0. The Vikings would finally get on the board with a two out RBI single by Madesko in the bottom of the fourth but that's all they would get as they fell 14-1.
