ATLANTA, Ga. (February 14, 2024) – Southern Athletic Association regular season champion Millsaps will be the No. 1 seed in the 2024 SAA Women’s Basketball Tournament as the complete bracket was announced Wednesday.
 
Quarterfinals – Sunday, February 18
No. 1. Millsaps vs. No. 8 Hendrix – Jackson, Miss. – 2pm CT
No. 2 Berry vs. No. 7 Birmingham-Southern – Mount Berry, Ga. – 1pm ET
No. 3 Centre vs. No. 6 Oglethorpe – Danville, Ky. – 1pm ET
No. 4 Rhodes vs. No. 5 Sewanee – Memphis, Tenn. – 2pm CT
 
The Majors (21-4, 12-2 SAA) are the top seed for the fifth time in program history and are looking for their first SAA Tournament crown. Led by the conference’s leading scorer Haley Franklin with 18.5 points per game, Millsaps is a perfect 13-0 this season in the Hanger Dome. They will host eight-seed Hendrix (4-21, 2-12 SAA) in the first round on Sunday, February 18. Berry (17-8, 11-3) enters the posts season as the SAA’s hottest team, riding a five-game winning streak to the No. 2 seed. The Vikings earned a home game with seven-seed Birmingham-Southern (5-20, 2-12 SAA) in the quarterfinals.
 
Centre (19-6, 10-4 SAA) is the No. 3 seed and hosts Oglethorpe (12-13, 4-10 SAA) to start the tournament. No. 4 Rhodes (15-9, 10-4) will play host to No. 5 Sewanee (7-18, 5-9) in the fourth quarterfinal.
 
The semifinals will be played on the campus of the highest remaining seed on Saturday, February 25 with the championship game set for Sunday, February 26.
