CANTON, Ga. – A trio of SAA women’s golf teams were in action last week. Centre took a long trip north and won the UW Whitewater Invitational in convincing fashion. Sewanee led the conference contingent at the Huntingdon Montgomery County Club Intercollegiate, taking eighth, while Oglethorpe finished 10
th.

Grace Walker | Centre | Senior | Louisville, Ky. – took medalist honors and led Centre to a team victory at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater Fall Invitational. The senior shot a one-over 72 in the opening round and posted a two-over 73 to close and post a five-shot win over the runner-up from Trinity. The Colonels produced a dominating team performance winning the event by 17 strokes over Illinois Wesleyan.
Notable Performances:
- Olivia Bentley (Sewanee) Playing at the MCC Intercollegiate, Bentley posted four birdies in the opening round, two on each side en route to a first-round 76. She registered four birdies on the front nine and another at No. 18 in a second-round one-under 71, tying for ninth overall and her best career tournament result.
- Elizabeth Powell (Oglethorpe) shot scores of 77-75 to finish 23rd individually at the MCC Intercollegiate.
