Rhodes Picked No. 1 in SAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Preseason Poll

CANTON, Ga. (September 26, 2024) – Coming off a second-straight conference title and setting the record for points at the championship a year ago, Rhodes was picked No. 1 in the 2024-25 SAA women’s swimming & diving preseason poll.
 
The Lynx garnered 24 points and four first place votes to finish ahead of No. 2 Centre with 21 points and a first place nod. Sewanee was third in the voting with 16 points.
 
Voting was conducted among the SAA’s six head coaches.

Rhodes scored an SAA record 1010 points last season to win its second-straight and fourth overall conference title. Taylor McNerney was named the SAA Newcomer of the Year, Anabelle Morlé the Diver of the Year, and Steve Webb the Coach of the Year. The Lynx won 11 individual events and four relays enroute to an 83 point victory over second place Centre.
 
SAA High-Point Swimmer of the Year Callie West led Centre to its runner-up finish. The rising senior won three individual events and a relay to highlight the Colonels weekend.
 
The 2025 SAA Swimming & Diving Championship is slated for February 12-15 at the new Champions Hall in Danville, Kentucky.
