Vikings Five-Peat as SAA Volleyball Tournament Champions

ATLANTA - The third seeded Berry Vikings completed their quest at a five peat for the SAA crown this afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia.

Coming into the contest, the Vikings sat at 0-7 all-time against the ranked Tigers of Trinity. Berry completed a sweep today (3-0) in the championship contest to claim their first victory over Trinity and capture their eight SAA Tournament Championship in the last ten seasons.

Berry earns the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA championships.

The full selection show will be Monday, November 17 at 1 p.m. ET here.

Berry was led by three today achieving 10+ kills. Senior Lura Underwood led the way with 15 against the Tigers and tournamnet MVP Keira Kruk (11) and Madie Whitehead (10) led closely behind.

Whitehead's four blocks also led the team to keep all Trinity attackers under 10 kills and build more momentum for Berry.

In the first set everything was notched up until a huge 5-0 run from the Vikings separated them at 19-14. After claiming set one, the Vikings built on their momentum as Trinity struggled to lead.

Berry took the last two sets 25-21 to claim the 2025 title.
