CANTON, Ga. (May 28, 2025) – Behind five First Team All-American performances, the Centre women posted the best finish in SAA history, taking eighth at the 2025 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championship.
The Colonels scored 24 points in the championship, hosted at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Madjo Doumbia led the way with 13 points, finishing national runner-up in the 100m dash with a time of 11.63 and taking fourth in the 200m dash by clocking 23.97. Serena McNeilly tied for third in the long jump with a leap of 1.68m and also took eighth in the triple jump, sailing 12.20m. Chloe Hein earned a spot on the podium with a fourth place finish in the long jump (5.95m).
On the men’s side, Centre tied for 58
th with three points. Dirk Gambrel finished seventh in the 400m hurdles (52.90) and Nick Whitlow was eighth in the Decathlon (6464 points).
The big weekend gives the SAA four top-20 nationals finishes all-time. Birmingham-Southern was 16
th in 2013 and 19
th in 2018 while Centre took 11
th in 2019.
