A New Era for Sewanee Athletics

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee Athletics is proud to unveil an all new visual identity. Building on a rich tradition of excellence, the department has introduced a new visual identity that reflects who we are: our home, our history, our supporters, and our student-athletes. 

At the end of last semester, Sewanee partnered with SKYE, a leader in sports branding, to evaluate and enhance Sewanee athletics visual identity. Based on input from more than 500 student-athletes, alumni, families, faculty, and staff, we are proud to introduce a dynamic set of logos and custom fonts that blends Sewanee's timeless traditions with modern design. 



"Competing for Sewanee means wearing a legacy– the gothic S, the Sewanee Purple, and the pride of the Mountain," said Director of Athletics John Shackelford. "Our new visual identity honors that tradition while looking to the future. It's more than a uniform. It's who we are– one team, one family."
