CANTON, Ga.  – After week two of action on the field, Rollins claimed his second athlete of the week honor and he is joined by Brown and Babin.

Offense:
Bryson Rollins | Maryville | SR | Elizabethtown, TN – Rollins had a dominating performance Saturday against a solid Ohio Wesleyan squad. He put up a school and SAA record 502 passing yards on 80.6% completion percentage (29-36) along with 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He added 23 yards on the ground, including one rush of 21 yards. His longest completion of the day was a 75-yard touchdown to Steph Carter Jr. Rollins 502 yards passing is the most in the SAA since 2017 (497 Miles Thompson. Hendrix vs Rhodes on 11/4) and is a new record.
 
Defense:
Kody Brown |Trinity | FR | San Antonio, TX – Brown led a Trinity defense that allowed just over 100 total yards and forced three turnovers in a dominating 49-0 win in the team's 2025 home debut against Belhaven University (MS) on Saturday night. Brown had a night of firsts in just his second collegiate game for the Tigers, recording a pair of interceptions in the first half of the game. His first pick stopped one of the only promising Belhaven drives of the first half, snagging a deflection at the 30-yard line and getting forced out of bounds after a 23-yard return on his first career interception. Brown's second came with Belhaven backed up in its own end and resulted in a 30-yard return for a touchdown, which came with 42 seconds left in the second quarter and gave Trinity a 42-0 lead at halftime.
 
Special Teams:
Connor Babin | Millsaps | SO | Fulshear, TX – Millsaps football sophomore kicker Connor Babin etched his name in the program's record book, helping the Majors best Centenary College, 56-14 at Harper Davis Field on Saturday. He went a perfect 8-for-8 on PATs, which is tied for second-most makes and tied for third-most attempts all-time by a Major. Babin also added eight kickoffs that sailed 445 yards (55.6-yard average), with three touchbacks.

Offense
  • Josh Rogers | Berry | GR | Griffin, GA – A graduate student from Griffin, Georgia Rogers helped lead the Vikings to a 48-0 win over LaGrange with three touchdowns on 57 yards rushing and 62 yards receiving.
  • Blake Busson | Centre | SR | Lexington, KY – Blake Busson had one of the finest games of his career for Centre last week against no. 11 DePauw, finishing with 11 catches for 136 yards and a touchdown, his second score in as many games. Busson's 11 catches were five more than his previous career high and his 136 yards were 11 shy of yet another career high.
  • Grant Bizjack | Millsaps | FR | Trophy Club, TX – Millsaps football freshman quarterback Grant Bizjack had a strong day in the pocket, helping the Majors down Centenary College, 56-14 in Jackson, Miss., on Saturday. Bizjack totaled four touchdowns (two passing, two rushing) on 12 of 19 passing. He amassed 184 yards through the air and 41 yards on the ground, while powering the Majors to their highest point total since 2010.
  • Tycen Williams | Southwestern | SO | Cuero, TX – Williams had a big night in the Pirates 51-43 victory over Puget Sound. The back went for 17 carries and 153 yards in his first home game for Southwestern. Williams scored three times on the ground. He also caught a catch for 18 yards. 
  • Franklin Hondo | Trinity | SO | Allen, TX – Franklin led Trinity's football team to a dominating 49-0 victory in its 2025 home opener against Belhaven University (MS) on Saturday evening. Despite only playing the first half of the game, Franklin engineered five scoring drives and left the game with a 42-0 lead at the break. He completed 16-of-21 passes for 155 yards and three passing touchdowns in just two quarters of action. After throwing two TD passes in the first quarter alone, Franklin added a third less than four minutes into the second quarter that put Trinity up 28-0 at the time. 
 
Defense
  • Jack Murray | Berry | SR | Johns Creek, GA – A senior from Johns Creek, GA Murray helped lead the defense in a shutout performance against LaGrange. Murray recorded one tackle and had a 45 yard interception return for a touchdown.
  • Jake Brock | Maryville | SR | Brentwood, TN – Brock led the defensive effort for the Scots against a tricky Ohio Wesleyan squad that pushes you with a fast tempo and unique offensive style. He had 1 interception and 3 tackles on the day and helped limit the OWU offense to just 320 total yards (they had 665 total yards in week 1) and 235 yards through the air (150 less than they had in week 1).
  • Zabian Boutan | Millsaps | SR | Baton Rouge, LA – Millsaps football senior defensive lineman Zabian Boutan posted a dominant performance in the Majors' 56-14 win hosting Centenary College on Saturday. He posted a team-high seven tackles (three solo), including three tackles-for-loss and two sacks.
  • Lawrence Watts | Rhodes | SR | Baton Rouge, LA – Senior defensive back Lawrence Watts anchored the Lynx defense with a dominant performance against Austin. Watts racked up a game-high 13 total tackles, including 10 solo stops, showcasing his ability to read plays and deliver in open-field situations. His physical presence and relentless pursuit set the tone for the Rhodes secondary, limiting Austin’s offensive rhythm throughout the contest. Watts’ leadership and impact on the defensive side of the ball made him a key contributor in the Lynx effort.
  • John Wolfenbarger | Sewanee | SO | Hampstead, NC – Wolfenbarger collected 10 tackles, nine solo, in Sewanee’s loss to Brevard. He made at least two stops in each quarter, coming up from his safety position to make tackles just past the line of scrimmage. His previous career-best in tackles for a game was six at Berry in 2024.
 
Special Teams
  • Miles Hamby | Berry | JR | Dacula, GA – A junior from Dacula, GA Hamby helped lead the Vikings special teams in a 48-0 win over LaGrange pinning the panthers deep with four punt for 148 yards including one inside the 20.
  • Luke Pinkston | Maryville | SR | Canton, NC – Pinkston was 6-7 on PK attempts on a busy day for the Scots. 
  • Grady Jones | Rhodes | SO | Atlanta, GA – Sophomore kicker/punter Grady Jones delivered a strong performance in Rhodes’ matchup against Austin, flipping field position with his consistency and leg strength. Jones recorded three punts for 125 yards, averaging 41.7 yards per kick, including a booming 52-yarder. He also showcased precision by pinning one punt inside the 20 and adding another 50+ yard punt to his tally. His ability to change momentum with field position and provide reliable special teams play was a key asset for the Lynx this week.
  • Lamont Nickleberry | Trinity | JR | Childress, TX – Nickleberry helped Trinity to a dominating 49-0 win over Belhaven University (MS) in the 2025 home opener on Saturday night, which included a 42-0 lead at halftime. Nickleberry's first shot at a punt return came after the first drive of the game for Belhaven. The 58-yard punt drove him back inside the five-yard line, but his 53-yard return flipped the field back in Trinity's favor and led to the team's second score in as many drives. That momentum continued throughout the quarter and resulted in a 21-0 lead after the first 15 minutes.
