CANTON, Ga. - Trinity has been selected as the 2026 preseason favorite in the Southern Athletic Association.
The Trinity Tigers totaled 55 points with six first place votes while Sewanee captured two first place nods with 49 points. Rhodes took third at 43 points and Southwestern came in at fourth with 37 points.
Voting was conducted among the SAA’s eight head coaches.

Trinity holds the top spot after a successful Fall season and coming in ranked No. 11 in the ITA DIII National rankings. The team swept the ITA Southwest Regional Singles and Doubles Championships for the third consecutive season back in September and return many key players to their roster as they prep for the Spring.
The University of the South is coming off their 11th SAA Championship title and a run in the NCAA tournament. The team posted a strong showing this Fall at the ITA Regionals.
The Lynx fell in the SAA semifinals last season, but bring back experience in veteran athletes: Agda Laakso and Zainab Baba along with pair Gracie Rask and Lilly Higgins.
The 2026 SAA Women’s Tennis Championship is slated for April 24-26 in Memphis, Tennessee, at the Leftwich Tennis Center.
