Three Earn Academic All-America Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Academic All-America Team selected by College Sports Communicators were selected this afternoon, boasting three Southern Athletic Association football athletes.

The SAA saw three members on this year's Academic All-America Team, Caleb Bayer and TJ Scannell of Trinity and Blake Busson of Centre.

Bayer was selected as the Division III center of the Year while also claiming first team honors from the SAA while teammate, Scannell claimed first team honors on the defensive side of the ball. Both Tigers were named to the first team.

Busson was a second team selection and a first team all-conference selection as a wide receiver.

All three athletes were All-Region honorees.

The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-America® program.
