CANTON, Ga. - The 2026 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Women's Soccer Championship is set for Thursday, November 5 in Rome, Georgia, hosted by Berry College.
Centre captured the No. 1 seed for the tournament while last year's winner, Trinity comes in at No. 2 - both teams will receive a first round bye. Sewanee claims the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 6 Maryville while No. 4 Rhodes will play No. 5 Berry.
The tournament will run from November 5-8, featuring five total games. Quarterfinals will be played Thursday at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. ET, followed by semifinals on Friday at the same times. Advancing teams will receive a rest day on Saturday before competing for the conference title at noon ET on Sunday.
Glimpse at the Matchups:
Game One | No. 3 Sewanee vs No. 6 Maryville
Nov. 5 | 3:00 p.m. ET
The Tigers and Scots have not matched up in almost a month with their last contest being on October 10. The result left Sewanee on top at 3-1. The Tigers finished the regular season on a 3 game conference winning streak as they head into the tournament. The Scots finished 3-4-1 in the SAA but defeated nationally ranked Trinity (1-0) just over a week ago.
Game Two | No. 4 Rhodes vs No. 5 Berry
Nov. 5 | 6:00 p.m. ET
The Lynx have had an impressive season at 4-3-1 in the conference. The Vikings look to take a win over the higher ranked Rhodes team as they did back on October 9 scoring a lone goal in the first half to capture the win. At 3-3-2, Berry has battled every game and is coming off a tie with Maryville in their final regular season game.
Game Three | No. 2 Trinity vs Winner of Game One
Nov. 6 | 3:00 p.m. ET
Trinity has been the only nationally ranked team in the SAA this season. However, the loss to Maryville dropped them to the No. 2 seed in the tournament. The Tigers must take on the winner of the Sewanee/Maryville game. Trinity has a clean sheet over the Sewanee Tigers with a 2-0 win.
Game Three | No. 1 Centre vs Winner of Game Two
Nov. 6 | 6:00 p.m. ET
Centre claimed their first regular season title since the 2021 season. With no conference losses this season, the Colonels sit on top. The team has rolled through conference play and will come off an entire rest week before the tournament. The winner of game two will be Rhodes or Berry, against Centre the Lynx lost 2-3 and the Vikings 0-2.
