Trinity Diving Sends Juliet Hood To NCAA Diving Regional

Atlanta, Ga - On February 27–28, the NCAA Division III Diving Regionals will take place, where first-year Juliet Hood will represent the Tigers on both boards as she competes for a chance to qualify for the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. The 1-meter competition will be held on Friday, followed by the 3-meter event on Saturday.

The NCAA Division III Diving Regionals serve as the qualifying meet for the national championship. Divers must compete at their assigned regional site, and based on their performance and final placement, a select number of athletes advance to the NCAA Championship meet. Unlike swimming events, where athletes can qualify with time standards, divers must earn their spot to nationals through their finish at the regional.

Hood enters the competition after a dominant performance at the SAA Championships, where she earned Diver of the Meet honors and swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Now, she will look to carry that momentum into regional competition against some of the top divers in Division III.

Competition will span two days, and a strong showing on either board could secure Hood a place on the national stage and cap off an already impressive first collegiate season.
