DICKSON, Tenn. - The Sewanee Tigers have made history, posting the lowest SAA championship score to claim the 2026 title.
The Tigers shattered the SAA record by two strokes, finishing with a three-round total of 837 (-27). Sewanee remained consistent in the final round, carding a 280 to match its second-round performance.
Individually, Elias Becker and Turner Chiles led the Tigers with a tie for second place at 209 (-7), while Niel Phillips and SAA Rookie of the Year Aidan Tudor each secured a tie for fifth.
Sewanee’s dominance extended beyond the leaderboard, as its coaching staff earned SAA Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
Oglethorpe’s Jackson Hiller was named SAA Athlete of the Year, capturing tournament medalist honors with an impressive 8-under performance. He fell behind by just a few strokes in round two, but pulled it out for the Petrels to push for a team second place finish.
