NEW ORLEANS - Two-time indoor national champion Serena McNeilly was honored by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as National Division III Field Athlete of the Week after setting yet another school record in the women's high jump.
McNeilly had another fabulous meet at the Music City Challenge, hosted by Vanderbilt University this past weekend. She competed in the Elite section of the women's high jump and finished in first place with a new personal best and new Centre school record of 5-10.75 (1.80m). McNeilly was the only competitor in the field who was not representing a Division I school.
Through the weekend's meets, McNeilly ranks first in all of Division III in the high jump, first in the triple jump, ninth in the long jump and 14th in the heptathlon.
