Jack Collins | Sewanee | SO | New Orleans, LA - Sophomore Jack Collins finished 10th overall at the Southern Showcase on Friday morning for the Tigers, running a 26:00.6 on the 8k course. His performance helped lead Sewanee to a 12th-place finish in the men’s open race, competing against 239 competitors and 28 teams.
Notable Performances
- Houston Brooks | Centre | SO | Leitchfield, KY - Brooks picked up his first collegiate cross country victory on Saturday as he turned in the fastest time at the Berea Invitational. Brooks completed the 8k with a time of 26:46 (5k pace = 16:15) to get the win, finishing over 30 seconds faster than the second-place runner. Brooks was the first of seven Centre runners to land in the individual top 15 as the Colonels cruised to a first-place team finish.
- Greer Hernandez | Millsaps | JR | Broussard, LA - Junior Greer Hernandez placed an impressive 14th out of 239 finishers in the open men's race at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, covering eight kilometers in 26:15.6.
