CANTON, Ga.  – Jeffrey Forster of Trinity Men's Golf captures week one of Fall Athlete of the Week honors.

Athlete of the Week:
Jeffrey Forster | Trinity | JR | Santa Barbara, CA – Forster led Trinity's 15th-ranked men's golf team with a seven-under total over the three rounds (66-74-69) at the Transylvania Fall Invitational over the weekend. With two rounds under par, including nine birdies and an eagle, Forster finished T4 individually. Keeping steady over three rounds, his 40 pars helped Trinity finish in second place at the event.
Notable Performances

  • Ben Muecke | Oglethorpe | FR | Tampa, FL – Oglethorpe freshman Ben Muecke opened his collegiate career with a 1 under par effort that propelled him to runner-up at the SAA Preview on Sunday. It led the Stormy Petrels to a team finish in the junior varsity event. Muecke carded rounds of 72-71 to finish two strokes off the lead, and he was the only player to shoot par or better across both rounds of the 36-hole event. His day was highlighted by an eagle 2 on the par 4 15th, where he holed out from 150 yards for his first intercollegiate eagle.
