Atlanta, Ga. – All seven SAA softball teams were in action over the second week of the season. Third-ranked Barry led the way, going 6-0 and out scoring teams by a combined 50-8 during the stretch. Sewanee is 3-3 on the year and Hendrix 2-2 through the early-season nonconference slate.

Athlete of the Week:
PLAYER: Ashlynn Fowler | Hendrix | Sophomore | Denison, Texas – at the plate for the Warriors in their two games versus Austin College, Fowler repeated a hot opening week, going 2-for-3 in Game 1 and 3-for-4 in Game 2. The sophomore recorded a pair of RBIs in each contest and five runs across the doubleheader to lead Hendrix to a weekend sweep of the Blue Jays.
PITCHER: Ava Fouts | Berry | First Year | Canton, Ga. – posted a 2-0 record in four appearances for the Vikings. The newcomer scattered six hits over nine innings with 11 strikeouts, surrendering just two unearned runs. Against LaGrange, she fanned seven in four innings of no-hit ball.
Notable Performances:
- Rylie Bentley (Centre) - was a perfect 3-for-3 with one run scored and a batting average of .429 in a 5-3 win over LaGrange. She also stole a base in that game. In the second game against LaGrange, the senior went 2-for-3 with one run scored, one RBI, and a walk. She finished the 6-5 win with an average of .471.
- Morgan Frye (Berry) – led the Vikings to a 6-0 week, hitting 8-for-18 with 11 runs scored and seven RBIs. The senior racked up two doubles, a triple and a homerun at the plate.
- Madison Granberry (Rhodes) – hit .333 for the week, going 6-for-18 at the plate. The senior scored three times and drove in six runs. Defensively she had 22 putouts without an error.
- Hannah Wilson (Sewanee) – batted .500 for the week with a triple and a double. She recorded two runs and two RBIs and collected two sacrifice bunts and a sacrifice fly. Defensively, she posted 10 putouts on 11 chances.
- Allana Vasquez (Millsaps) - had a solid showing in six games for Majors last week in Jackson and Columbus, Miss. She batted 8-for-17 with three doubles, scored three runs, stole three bases, while adding an RBI and was hit by a pitch.
- Kaylee Gregory (Centre) - pitched the full seven innings in a 5-3 win over LaGrange. She struck out four batters and only walked one. It was her and the Colonels' first win of the season.
- Gina Dudley (Rhodes) - threw 18 innings in three days, allowing just two earned runs. In the victory against Webster, she threw the complete game of five innings, striking out eight, with zero walks. Against D2 Lane, she was the winning pitcher going all six innings, with no earned runs and six strike outs.
