CANTON, Ga. – All seven cross country teams were in action last week as the cross country season hits is midway mark. Six teams got a look at the SAA Championship venue, competing in the Rhodes Invitational at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis. The loaded field of 19 teams saw three SAA squads in the top-10. Berry led the way in fourth place while Centre was fifth. The host Lynx took eight, Oglethorpe 13
th and Millsaps 15
th. Hendrix competed as individuals at the event. Sewanee took part in the UT Southern Firehawk Invitational. The Tigers were sixth of 10 schools in the race.

Athlete of the Week:
Anna Ayers | Berry | Junior | Carrollton, Ga. – finished third in a loaded field of 175 runners at the Rhodes Invitational. The junior posted a time of 23:12 to set a new personal best 6k time and lead the Vikings to a fourth place finish. The race was competed at the site of the 2024 SAA Championship and featured 19 teams across all divisions.
Notable Performances:
- Anna Cantrell (Hendrix) - posted a personal-best time of 23:43 to finish eighth at the Rhodes Invitational.
- Elena Gentry (Rhodes) – just first-year, Gentry stopped the clock at 23:23 and finish fourth out of 175 at the Rhodes Invitational, the first 6k race of her career.
- Allison Haworth (Sewanee) - delivered a personal best in the 6k at the Firehawk Invitational, clocking a time of 25:01.4. Her outstanding effort earned her a 16th-place finish overall and top honors among Sewanee runners.
