MEMPHIS, Tenn. (November 2, 2024) – For the second time in conference history, Berry has captured the SAA women’s cross country title. The Vikings put all five scorers in the top-11 and earned the league title for the first time since 2016.

After finishing runner-up each of the last two seasons, Sophie Bouldin of Centre won the individual title, crossing the line in 22:05.11.
Berry scored 30 points while Centre, who had won the last seven titles, finished second with 36 points. Rhodes (83), Sewanee (132), and Hendrix (151) rounded out the top-five.
Bouldin is the seventh-straight Colonel to win the race, following Meghan Owens who had won the last three. The junior’s time of 22:05.11 was the seventh-fastest in championship history. Anna Ayers of Berry was second in 22:14 while teammate Anna Rose took third (22:26). Anna Cantrell of Hendrix was fourth (22:37) and Centre’s Erin Haugh fifth (22:54).
Elena Gentry from host Rhodes was named the SAA Newcomer of the Year, finishing ninth in a time of 23:45. Berry leader Paul Deaton was voted the SAA Coach of the Year for the second time in his career.
